Moto Morini Introduces Three New Bike Trim Levels
Moto Morini, famous for its racing success in the ‘60s, entered the North American market for the first time in 2023. Roughly a year later, the iconic Italian manufacturer is now expanding its product offerings.
So far, Moto Morini’s American lineup has consisted of the X-Cape ADV bike, the Seiemmezzo STR street motorcycle, the Seiemmezzo SCR scrambler, and the Calibro cruiser. The latter is a newcomer for the 2025 model year, but the three originals are also getting something new.
The company has launched three new trim levels, one each for the X-Cape, STR, and SCR bikes. Dubbed the X-Cape SE, STR Sport, and SCR Trek, these additions don’t change anything in the bikes mechanically, but they incorporate some welcome gear pieces as standard options.
Let’s take a closer look at what each new trim brings.
X-Cape SE
The X-Cape SE trim gears the X-Cape for longer rides on more challenging trails with the addition of a luggage system and extra protective features. The luggage set consists of side bags and a top case.
Each piece is manufactured out of aluminum to strike a balance between durability and a light weight. A rubber-sealed, lockable lid keep rain and dirt out of the soft case interiors.
The system includes a mounting rack for the side cases and a plate for the top case. All the cases are detachable for quick removal off the bike.
The X-Cape also gains a larger aluminum skid plate and steel wrap-around drop bars to safeguard the engine block on challenging routes. They blend well into the motorcycle’s style and won’t detract from its angular looks.
To protect the rider, the X-Cape SE trim adds composite plastic handguards to deflect flying rocks. The package also includes a larger windscreen (one inch taller and four inches wider) to keep the wind off the rider.
Otherwise, the bike remains the same. It still sports the 649cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 60 ponies, 50mm Marzocchi front fork with 6.9 inches of travel, a KYB shock with 6.5 inches of travel, and Brembo brakes.
The X-Cape SE model retails for $9,799, coming in Italian Red, Black Ops, or Antrachite Smoke colorways.
Seiemmezzo STR Sport
The Seiemmezzo STR Sport turns the STR into a more… Well, sporty machine. This trim adds color-matched additional components to the bike as standard.
To improve the machine’s aerodynamics, the STR Sport comes with a windscreen-equipped bikini fairing and a lower fairing. Covering the passenger seat is a sleek seat cowl.
Each component is manufactured out of durable fiberglass. As mentioned, they come in all the colorways as the bike does and feature a sporty stripe graphic.
Finally, the Sport package includes a plastic fender replacement that takes the place of the stock fender and license plate mount.
The Siemmezzo STR Sport packages goes for an MSRP of $6,899. The available colorways include Metallic Red, Vivid White, and Anthracite Smoke.
Seiemmezzo SCR Trek
The Seiemmezzo SCR Trek equips the scrambler for a longer haul with additional luggage space. It also adds some protection for the engine components.
In the luggage department, the Trek trim includes Moto Morini’s leather side bags and tail bag, alongside with the relevant mounting racks. Made of thick leather and nylon, the bags are weather-resistant and durable. They also feature MOLLE straps for attaching additional bags and items.
The Trek package also wraps the engine in drop bars for additional protection. As a nice touch, the drop bars feature forward footpegs for more riding comfort.
Moto Morini sells the Seiemmezzo STR Trek model for $7,599. The bike comes in Platinum Black, Cobalt Slate, and Boot Camp Green paint jobs.
Each of the X-Cape SE, STR Sport, and SCR Trek models comes with Moto Morini’s three-year, unlimited mileage warranty. All the accessories and gear included on the bikes can also be purchased separately.
