From Hardware to Music—Bluegrass at Bellamy

Bluegrass music is all about celebrating the history and folk traditions of the Appalachian region where it was born (in addition to the nice tunes, that is). While the music sounds good over the stereo, the experience gets a whole lot better if you go catch a concert at a fitting venue—like Bluegrass at Bellamy.

Bluegrass at Bellamy (also known as Bellamy Hardware) is a concert venue located in Surgoinsville, TN, in the heart of Appalachia. Every third Saturday of the month from September to May, it hosts bluegrass and folk artists and bands from far and wide.

Some artist of name that have performed at Bluegrass at Bellamy include the Johnson Mountain Boys, Rhonda Vincent, and Marshall Wilborn. This is all in addition to the excellent local performers, of course.

However, Bluegrass at Bellamy wasn’t always a house of music. The venue has more than 100 years of history behind it.
