Columbus, OH, is on a roll. Just at the beginning of the year Intel announced a $20 billion initial investment for two new leading-edge chip factories. Ohio’s capital is becoming quite the tech hub. With a growing city, you’ll want to get out and smell the roses. This City Escape leaves time to explore what’s along the backroads.
There’s no better place to start or end than at the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), which is headquartered just southeast in a suburb called Pickerington. The Hall of Fame Museum is open weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free for AMA members. America has a rich motorcycle history and this is the place to take it all in.
The loop takes you east before recalibrating your internal compass along the famous Triple Nickel (SR 555). After a break in Athens, the route continues through the beautiful Hocking Hills, famous for its many cabins.
