From President LBJ’s ranch to German culinary delights, this route has it all. To include all stops along the way, plan ahead and hit the road early in the morning. Don’t forget swimwear in the summer! The best times to travel are in the spring and fall for the milder climate, but this City Escape is fair game practically year round.

Luckenbach
Everybody’s Somebody in Luckenback.” As the ghost town’s motto goes, it’s especially true on Sundays when people bring their own instruments and jam out. Don’t worry, plenty of organized bands also perform, making this western town perfect for family time. Motorcyclists enjoy a separate parking area.

Learn about our 36th president from his childhood home to the Texas White House. This 5,500 acre ranch is a must-stop in the area.

Pedernales Falls State Park
Entrance requires a fee for adults. Enjoy a dip in the water, take a hike, or bring a fishing rod.
