SW-Motech Offers Full Accessory Line for 2024 BMW R 1300 GS
Upon its launch, the 2024 BMW R 1300 GS redefined the motorcycle, with a slimmer profile, lower weight, and many other features. That, however, means that accessories made for older GS models may not fit the bike’s newest iteration.
SW-Motech is fueling GS adventurers’ ambitions with a full catalog of accessories, from bags to safety components. Revealed at EICMA 2023, the goodies have now made their way from Europe to the U.S.
Let’s take a look at what options SW-Motech has for kitting out your GS.
Luggage and Bags
Although the 2024 GS went on a diet, its thinner frame doesn’t affect the fitting of the SW-Motech Pro tank ring system. Four tank bags from SW-Motech’s Pro series fit the new GS, including the 20-liter Pro GS bag. If you expect rain, the company offers three WP-branded waterproof bags, such as the new Pro Micro WP.
For the bike’s rear, the hard Trax ADV aluminum cases (in silver or black) are available in the 37-liter M and 47-liter L versions. These side cases mount to the removable Pro carrier. There’s also the Trax ADV top case, which attaches to the SW-Motech Adventure Rack.
All the Trax cases are available as the Adventure Luggage Set ($2,600), which includes the side cases, top case, and mounting systems for both.
SW-Motech’s recently launched DUSC case system is also available for the R 1300 GS. These bags feature a dual-layer construction that allows them to bend but not break on impact, making them a durable choice. The DUSC hard cases ($1,300) are available in medium and large sizes, the latter being also offered as a top case ($750).
Should you prefer soft luggage, the SySBag WP L side bags ($1,150) also fit the new GS.
Safety and Comfort
The R 1300 GS is powered by BMW’s excellent boxer engine, which is well worth protecting. SW-Motech offers a model-specific protection kit to safeguard your precious powerplant.
The BMW 1300 GS engine guard/skid plate ($365) is manufactured from a durable aluminum alloy. With a tight fit, it secures the front of the engine block from bumps and scrapes.
SW-Motech also offers crash bars for the engine ($366) and the fairing ($325), the latter supplementing the former. The steel bars contour to the shape of the bike and won’t stand out like a sore thumb.
For a more comfortable ride, SW-Motech has manufactured the EVO footrests ($201) and a foot brake lever extension. To keep the road well illuminated, you can opt for the company’s EVO fog lights ($425).
Additional bags and safety products are available from SW-Motech and authorized dealers.
