RoadRUNNER's 2022 Fall Gear Guide
It's no secret that the fall is our favorite time of year to ride motorcycles. The weather is mild and the sights and smells of falling leaves have a calming effect. Not to mention the beautiful colors that surround many of our favorite roads...
As you gear up for your fall motorcycle tours, there are a few products we recommend to make the trip more comfortable, safer, and ultimately a good time.
Klim Latitude Pants & Jacket
When temperatures start to cool, you need a do-it-all set of gear. The Klim Latitude (and Altitude for the ladies) is a one-stop-shop for weather protection, warmth, and safety. Venting allows you to cool yourself when the afternoon gets warm, or stave off the early morning frost with the vents closed.
DJI Pocket 2
This small handheld camera from DJI makes it easy to capture photo or video of your fall motorcycle rides. You can't go chasing fall colors without at least capturing some of them for the memory bank. We recently reviewed this camera, so you can read all of our thoughts in that article.
Phone Tripod
A tripod makes it easier to take photos of you, your bike, and your riding partners while on a trip. A tripod for your phone is even better! This small tripod can be set on a table, ledge, or even the ground to capture stunning fall color photos using your cell phone. This one has bendy legs, to wrap around objects too.
Pink Colored Vest
When colors start to turn, brightly colored motorcycle gear starts to become invisible. The yellows, oranges, and reds that riders gravitate to for their visibility are suddenly not as visible as they are the rest of the year. Hi-viz pink, however, still stands out among the leaves. If safety is on your mind this time of year, consider a pink riding vest.
Scorpion EXO Covert Flannel Shirt
Not only will you be riding in style this fall, but you'll be safe in this multi-purpose flannel from Scorpion! The entire shirt is reinforced with a protective Kevlar lining and mesh pockets on the elbows, shoulders, and back allow you to insert armor for even more protection.
RoadRUNNER Neck Gaiter
We wear neck gaiters year round, as they are great for protection against wind burn, sun burn, and bugs. When the weather starts to get chilly, we're extra thankful we have one of these RoadRUNNER neck gaiters in our tank bag!
RAM Cup Holder
A warm drink can help boost moral as well as body temperature after a cold ride. Now you can take that warm drink with you with the RAM cup holder. It's self leveling, so you don't have to worry about spilling your pumpkin spice latte in the corners.
RoadRUNNER Beanie
The newest addition to the RoadRUNNER swag collection! This beanie is incredibly warm and packs small to fit in your motorcycle luggage. Keep your head and ears warm when you are off the bike with this nice beanie.
Kammock Hammock
Spending time outdoors is always on our fall to-do list, especially if it involves a motorcycle ride to get to a nice overlook or camp site. When you're ready to kick back and relax, hand up a hammock!
Micro Fiber Towel
When the weather starts to dip below freezing at night, you'll wake up with a frost covered seat. A micro fiber cloth is perfect for removing the frost before you mount your steed, keeping your bum just a touch warmer at the start of your ride.
