Review: Aether Moto Boot
Another entry in Aether’s lineup, the Moto Boot, leans more toward commuting and urban riding. The leather boots are pretty enough for strolling into a corner office, with handsome accents and the option of vivid blue laces. Like with the Ramble, Aether incorporated D3O armor into the Moto Boot to protect delicate joints. A Vibram sole provides ample traction on or off the bike.
Where the Rubber Meets the Road
Even after several months, the boots feel like they’re only getting around to breaking in. The leather is still smooth and supple. All this decadence comes at a steep cost, though. Available in Tan and Jet Black, the Moto Boot will cost you $595. Delectable as they are, the cost makes the boots hard to recommend unless your lifestyle calls for luxury motorcycle footwear. That’s in direct opposition to the Ramble pants, which get so much use that they feel like a bargain, despite carrying a premium price point.
