Nelson Rigg Introduces Five New Luggage Products

Nelson Rigg, one of the most popular motorcycle luggage system manufacturers, is introducing new goodies for riders. The company has launched five new products across two different gear collections.
The Rigg Gear Adventure collection receives three new products in the shape of a crash bar/tailbag, saddlebags, and a quick-release plate for panniers. In the Route 1 cruiser-oriented collection, we have a backrest bag and a handlebar bag.
All the new bag options are constructed from Nelson Rigg’s UltraMax fabric, a durable material that offers a high degree of UV protection. Each product is available now directly from Nelson Rigg or through authorized retailers.
Rigg Gear Adventure Products
Nelson Rigg’s Rigg Gear Adventure collection is (as its name implies) aimed at ADV and dual sport riders. In this category, we have two new bag options and a handy mounting mechanism.
The Trails End RiggPak crash bar/tailbag features a universal design that should fit the crash bars, luggage racks, or seat backs of most motorcycles—or virtually any other vehicle, according to the manufacturer. This is thanks to its versatile mounting options, from hook-and-loop straps to adjustable quick-release buckles.

The tailbag has a capacity of around seven liters, making is a reasonably sized option for storing essential items, water, or anything else you might want to get your hands on quickly. On the outside of the bag is MOLLE webbing for attaching additional gear. The Trails End RiggPak retails for $59.95.
The Trails End Adventure saddlebags offer 33 liters of combines storage, with a stiff internal backplate, replaceable backside pads, and reflective accents. On the bottom of each bag is a convenient eight-liter bottle pocket for storing your hydration supplies.

MOLLE webbing and metal D-rings on the outsides of the bags allow you to attach additional bags, pouches, or other gear. The bags mount using Nelson Rigg’s Rigg Strap system, and the empty bags collapse with compression straps to accommodate lighter loads. The Trails End Adventure saddlebags retail for $349.95.
Last but not least, the Quick-release Luggage Plate for flat bar racks offers convenience for riders who want or need to attach and remove their bags quickly. These luggage plates feature “set and click” latches that allow you to mount and remove a wide range of compatible soft saddlebags in seconds. Manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum for durability and light weight, the quick-release plates are designed to fit most flat and over bar pannier racks up to 30.5mm tall and 15.25mm thick. They retail for $329.95.

Route 1 Products
The Route 1 luggage collection aims to serve the needs of cruiser riders on the open road. Here, the first new product is the Getaway 2.0 backrest rack bag.
Equipped with self-fastening quick-release straps, the bag fixes easily to your bike seat’s backrest, sissy bar, or luggage rack. A provided waterproof rain cover keeps anything you store in the 20-liter main and eight-liter top compartments protected from the elements. The main compartment has a four-lifter expanding section, and there are two outer pockets for extra space.

A solid base panel keeps the bag rigid, while lockable zippers offer extra security. For carrying the bag off-bike, it features a carry handle and a shoulder strap. The Getaway 2.0 bag sells for $209.95
If you want to cram every inch of your bike full of luggage, you can’t ignore your handlebar. The Highway handlebar bag is compatible with most handlebars, sissy bars, T-bars, or other bars, thanks to its 11 strap attachment loops. With the bag, you get six eight-inch hook-and-loop straps and two 18-inch quick-release straps.

The seven-liter capacity consists of a main compartment with multiple dividers, in addition to a key fob clip and a large mesh pocket. On the front is a tricot-lined compartment for sensitive or easily scratchable items, like sunglasses.
The bag also features two charging cord slots that allow you to plug in stored electronics. You can purchase the Highway handlebar bag at an MSRP of $49.95.
