Review: Joe Rocket Phoenix Ion Summit

With 100-degree temperatures, it was a no-brainer to pick a mesh jacket. I was so sure of our weather luck, I didn’t even bother to bring the liners or extra rain gear. This jacket does come with a two-stage liner system (full rain liner and insulated vest). The constant breeze made it a real joy even in high heat, but it got a little chilly below 80 degrees.

Armor at the shoulders and elbows are included, and I added my own back protector which it doesn’t come with. The jacket is a good-looking gray (gun metal), and reflective material all the way around provides extra safety for visibility. At an affordable price, this mesh jacket is a real steal. It comes in black, hi-viz, and gray.
