Bridgestone Reveals Battlax Sport Touring T33 Tires
Bridgestone’s Battlax series of motorcycle tires is a popular choice of rubber among riders of all types. Now, the company is expanding its tire catalog further with the introduction of the Battleax Sport Touring T33 tire.
This new radial sport touring tire is set to become the next-generation iteration of the current T32 model. According to the manufacturer, the T33 will retain its predecessor's wet-weather performance while bringing a slew of improvements to the table.
Perhaps most impressively, Bridgestone promises a significant range improvement. In company internal tests, the T33 lasts increases tire mileage by 47% compared to the T32.
The mileage boost is due to a combination of a brand-new compound, an enhanced tread pattern, and an upgraded construction. In the rear tires, Bridgestone has added a high-strength polymer into the compound to improve its wear resistance.
The tire pattern has been altered to provide a more optimized land-sea ratio while also improving pattern stiffness. Yet, the pattern is still based on that of the T32, so it should provide similar confidence-inspiring grip and stability.
In the front tire, Bridgestone has introduced a new cross belt, while the rear tire features an MS belt. The construction is optimized to provide reliable performance on both lighter and heavier motorcycles, giving the tire a high degree of versatility.
Together, all these features result in the longer tire life, allowing motorcycle tourers to ride farther before needing a tire change.
The Bridgestone Battleax Sport Touring tires will initially be available in four front and six rear sizes, starting January 1, 2025. Bridgestone plans to introduce five additional tire sizes in 2026.
