Bridgestone Introduces Battlax Adventure A42 On-Road ADV Tire
Since its release in 2017, the Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A41 tire has become a popular option for street-biased adventure riders. The tire’s performance has been so good that it serves as the OEM tire on many bikes, like some Honda Africa Twin and BMW R 1200 GS models.
Recently, Bridgestone launched the Battlax Adventure A42, the next-generation iteration of the A41. This new tire aims for better wet-weather performance, longer tire life, and reduced tire noise.

The silica-carbon compounds on both the front and rear A42s have received an update. In the front, the tire incorporates more flexible material for higher surface grip, while in the rear, Bridgestone has focused on boosting mileage.

Combined with a redesigned tire pattern, the company claims the A42 reduced slip during straight-line acceleration on a wet road by 14% compared to its predecessors. Tire life is claimed to be 18% longer in the front and 25% longer in the rear.
The A42 also features a larger contact patch that should enhance stability and lower road noise during riding.

The Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A42 tires will become available in January 2027, with more sizes following in 2028.
