Review: 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST
Harley-Davidson’s “Dawn of a New Era” press invite for the new 2024 models included an unusual schedule entry. The second of two riding days was slated for Nevada’s otherworldly Valley of Fire, a fitting locale to enjoy the roundly updated 2024 Road Glide and Street Glide bagger touring models. But the entire first day was set aside for a visit to the Las Vegas Speedway—a racetrack complex on the fringes of Sin City. What might be waiting for me out there?
Following an early morning meeting that included an unusual in-person appearance and model intro from H-D CEO Jochen Zeitz, I arrived at the track to find four Raven Metallic and four Golden White Pearl units of Harley-Davidson’s new halo CVO machine, the $42,999 2024 CVO Road Glide ST. “ST?” It might stand for “Sport Tourer” (Harley-Davidson doesn’t say exactly), but given the 127 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque on tap from the breathed-on 121-cubic inch (1982cc) Milwaukee-Eight High Output V-twin, it could also mean “Speed Tourer.”
