Ducati has revealed its plans for the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 for 2025. Based around the same platform, the upcoming models have been redesigned from scratch to be the lightest incarnations of their family to date.

The weight savings are thanks to the new engine and chassis both bikes share. Ducati’s new 90-degree V2 engine weighs only 120 pounds, representing a 20.7-pound reduction over the Superquadro engine it replaces.

Yet, this 890cc powerplant doesn’t compromise performance. With three available power modes, the rider can milk 95–120 horsepower (the maximum is reached at 10,750 rpm) out of the engine. Ducati further claims that 70% of the maximum torque of 69 lb-ft is available at 3,000 rpm, with the max arriving at 8,250 rpm.

Another weight-saving aspect is the new monocoque frame, which uses the engine as a stressed element. The bikes also feature a revised double-sides swingarm (the Streetfighter V2’s one is 30mm longer than the Panigale’s), which aims to enhance stability during cornering.

Overall, these changes bring the Panigale V2’s weight down to 395 pounds. The Streetfighter V2 weighs roughly the same at 392 pounds.

For suspension, the bikes feature a 43mm fully adjustable Marzocchi fork with 4.7 inches of travel. In the rear, we have a similarly fully adjustable Kayaba monoshock with 5.9 inches of travel on the Panigale and 6.3 inches on the Streetfighter. The V2 S versions of both motorcycles upgrade suspension components to Öhlins ones.

Front braking power comes from dual 320mm semi-floating discs with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc M50 piston calipers. In the rear is a single 245mm disc with a two-piston caliper.

In electronics, the motorcycles feature a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), which enables cornering-ABS (with slide-by-brake functionality), traction and wheelie control, and engine brake control. The bikes also come with Ducati’s Quickshifter 2.0, which we already saw on the Panigale V4.

You’ll also find four ride modes—Race, Sport, Road, and Wet. They adjust engine response and rider aid intervention in ways you can no doubt expect based on the mode names.

For controlling the electronics, the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 come with a new five-inch TFT screen. It offers Road, Road Pro, and Track display views, allowing you to pick one that best suits the day’s ride.

In the looks department, both bikes have received upgrades from their previous iterations. However, they’re still immediately recognizable as members of their families.

The 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 will be available in late Q1 2025 for $15,995, while the Streetfighter V2 will launch in Q2 2025 for $14,995. Both motorcycles come in Ducati Red.
