Benelli’s 2025 US Motorcycle Range Revealed
At the EICMA 2024 motorcycle show in Milan, Benelli revealed the new motorcycles the company plans to release in the near future. However, it will likely take some time before those bikes sail from Italy to America.
Benelli didn’t leave the U.S. hanging, however. The Italian brand unveiled which models will be available stateside in 2025.
The crown jewels of the range are the 2025 TRK 702/X motorcycles. The dual sport bikes have been updated since last year, but this is the first time they’re available on the U.S. market.
The Imperiale 400 has received some engine upgrades as well, while the rest of the range remains unchanged. Here are the details of Benelli’s 2025 U.S. offerings.
2025 TRK 702/X
Arriving in America for the first time, the 2025 TRK 702 and 702X promise to be versatile and affordable dual sport machines. The TRK 702 model is geared for the street, while the 702 is the more adventurous sibling.
Both motorcycles are powered by a liquid-cooled 698cc parallel-twin engine. Benelli’s claimed power output from the engine sits at 69 horsepower at 8,000 rpm, while maximum torque is at 51.6 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm.
The brakes are the same on both versions as well. Front brake duties are handled by dual 320mm discs with four-piston calipers, while in the rear, we have a single 260mm disc with a single-piston caliper.
The front suspension—a 50mm inverted fork with 5.5 inches of travel—is shared between the models. For rear suspension, both have a centrally-located monoshock. On the TRK 702, the rear suspension is adjustable for preload and rebound damping and has 1.7 inches of travel, while on the TRK 702, the monoshock also gains compressions adjustability and an extra 0.2 inches of travel.
The TRK 702 has aluminum alloy wheels, shod with road-oriented Pirelli Angel GT tires. Meanwhile, the TRK 702X’s spoked wheels sport Pirelli Scorpion STR tires for additional grip.
Built around the same steel trellis frame, the TRK 702X is slightly heavier, tipping the scales at 489 pounds vs. the TRK 702’s 482 pounds. To make standing on the pegs easier, the 702X also has a higher seat (32.6 inches) than the TRK 702 (31.8 inches), while also boasting more ground clearance (8.2 inches vs. 7.4 inches).
Both motorcycles have the same 5.2-gallon fuel tank. For connectivity, they feature a five-inch color TFT screen with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities for turn-by-turn navigation.
The TRK 702 models will be available for purchase from January 2025. The TRK 702 comes in green, white, and black from $7,899, while the TRK 702X comes in white/red or gray/hi-viz yellow for $8,499.
2025 Imperiale 400
For 2025, the Imperiale 400 has received a minor engine upgrade. The retro roadster is now compliant with the Euro 5 standard.
Benelli’s engineers have ensured the motorcycle complies with the new EU emissions and efficiency standards without affecting the bike’s performance. Well, that’s not entirely true—the bike is now significantly more fuel efficient, going for a promised 75 miles on a gallon.
Otherwise, things have stayed the same. The air-cooled 374cc single-cylinder engine still produces 21 ponies at 5,500 rpm and 21.3 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm.
The telescopic fork provides 4.7 inches of travel, while the dual rear shocks (adjustable for preload) travel 2.1 inches. Front brakes consist of a 300mm disc with a two-piston floating caliper. In the rear, we have a 240mm disc with a single-piston caliper.
In looks, the Imperiale 400 remains a classically-styled bike that, on a quick glance, could fool people into believing it’s a vintage machine. Only smaller details, like the tiny digital display in the middle of the analog instrumentation, hint at more modern technology.
The 2025 Imperiale 400 is available in black, wine red, and silver for an affordable $4,899.
2024 Models: TRK 502/X, 302S, TNT 135
The rest of Benelli’s U.S. range stays the same as in 2024. The company has three (plus one variant model) motorcycles up for grabs.
The TRK 502/X are the new TRK 702/X bikes’ lower-spec siblings. Italy’s best-selling motorcycles (according to the manufacturer), they’re affordable low-mid-range dual sport bikes, with the TRK 502 meant for the road and TRK 502X for moderate trails. The TRK 502 sells for $6,299 and the TRK 502X for $6,699.
The 302S is an aggressive-looking but rider-friendly street motorcycle that can entertain new and seasoned riders alike. This motorcycle goes for $4,799.
The TNT 135 is the small mini moto that could, making for a fun starter bike for young riders. It retails for $3,199.
