What Is the World’s Most Expensive Motorcycle?
Motorcycles can be exorbitantly expensive. A brand-new 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST, for example, will set you back a whopping $42,999.
In the grand scheme of bikes, though, that’s a bargain. Some motorcycles are much, much more expensive than that.
That just begs the question—what is the world’s most expensive motorcycle?
Well, that’s not actually an easy question to answer, as it depends on how you look at it. Are we talking about current new production bikes? Do we count historical bikes or bizarre concept machines sold at auctions? Should we adjust for inflation?
The easiest way to approach this dilemma is to divide motorcycles into different categories. Here are the most expensive motorcycles in the world, based on three different criteria.
Note that this story reflects the situation at the time of writing based on our best knowledge and research. Things may change as other bikes are sold, and there’s a chance we may have missed some obscure machine.
Most Expensive Production Bike: Aston Martin & Brough Superior AMB 001 Pro
The price of a production motorcycle is challenging to determine, since you have to account for potential inflation and where you buy the bike. Shipping is expensive, you know. However, I’m taking the initiative and limiting things to motorcycles currently in production (at the time of writing) and available to U.S. buyers.
In this category, I believe the clear winner is the Aston Martin & Brough Superior AMB 001 Pro. This hyper-exclusive luxury motorcycle, with a production run limited to only 88 units, sells for $183,895 for American customers.
And that price doesn’t include taxes, shipping, or anything else.
