Royal Enfield Launches Flying Flea Electric Motorcycle Brand
Although electric vehicle (EV) sales are looking wobbly worldwide, many motorcycle manufacturers are still entering the electric bike market—but often under a different name. Harley-Davidson did it under the Livewire name, and now Royal Enfield is also joining the electric motorcycle race as Flying Flea
Known for its simple yet practical mid-sized motorcycles, Flying Flea is Royal Enfield’s first sojourn into the electric bike space. Its machines will be aimed for the urban (or what the brand calls “city+”) market.
For its initial offerings, Flying Flea announced two motorcycles—the classic-style Flying Flea C6 and the scrambler-style Flying Flea S6. Of the duo, the C6 will arrive first, with availability slated for spring 2026.
The manufacturer has so far kept the specs hush-hush, but here’s what we know. The motorcycle will feature an impressive collection of proprietary technology, with the motor and battery having been developed in-house.
Included in the 28 patents filed to the C6 just in the last six months include bespoke ride monitoring software and a central vehicle control unit promised to enable more than 200,000 ride mode combinations. The bike will have a lean angle-sensitive ABS, cruise control, and a fast-charging three-pin plug.
In look, the bike embraces what Royal Enfield calls a retro-futuristic style, which seems like an accurate moniker. The front suspension is a reimagining of the component found on the original World War II-era Royal Enfield Flying Flea, consisting of a forged aluminum girder fork and an articulating mudguard.
The frame is also forged aluminum and it wraps around the central motor and battery casing in organic, almost bone-like shapes. For delivering information and controlling the tech package, the bike features a round touch-capable display, bringing more old-school vibe to the thoroughly modern motorcycle.
And that’s about all we know for now. As mentioned, the Flying Flea C6 is expected to arrive on the market in early 2026, followed shortly by the S6 model.
