RoadRUNNER 25-Year Anniversary Party

Let’s Get Together and Ride
Community is an integral part of the motorcycling world. When you take a break and remove that helmet, the words start flying. A quick 10-minute break can easily last half an hour or more. We talk about what we just saw, how sweet the roads were, and of course, what you can do to your suspension to make you ride better. Eventually, strangers come up and tell you about their first motorcycle or give you suggestions on local roads. Motorcyclists inherently bond over their love for the open road and the thrill of riding.
It took a tragedy for us at RoadRUNNER to fully realize how getting together to ride is good for the soul. Our first couple of events were simply called Memorial Rides, because we started after losing Christian Neuhauser, our co-founder. Over the years, they morphed into the Touring Weekend. As much as we don’t like the term rally at the office, that’s what it was–a small rally with a new location each summer where a few hundred riders would meet up to explore new roads and make new friends. The event spanned a long weekend and featured guided and unguided tours, maps and GPS files, workshops, presentations, and even a comedian once. And let’s not forget about the food! We’ve shared some seriously great meals and many gallons of ice cream.
Then, the pandemic put the kibosh on the fun. We had to cancel one Touring Weekend and the following years just ticked away. Now, five years later, we’re sitting in the office talking about our 25-year anniversary and some genius says we should have a party. Let’s get together and ride again!
Time truly flies when you're having fun. It feels like just yesterday we began our journey with RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel. Now, 25 incredible years later, we’re celebrating a legacy built on challenges, excitement, adventure, and the dedication it takes to grow not just a print magazine, but also a thriving online presence, including web content, social media, and a YouTube channel.
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without our loyal readers, whose unwavering support has been the foundation of our success. This milestone calls for a celebration, and we’re excited to share this special occasion with you!
25-Year Party
Join us in Kingsport, TN, on October 3-5, 2025 to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy a wonderful time socializing. We’ll spend the day riding through the scenic Appalachian region. We can’t offer guided tours, but you’ll be free to follow our tour recommendations or carve out your own route.
Alternatively, you can explore the charming Kingsport and its surroundings. There’s so much to see and do, from the Bristol Motor Speedway, to Bays Mountain Park or the Birthplace of Country Music in Bristol.
We’re still working on the workshops, seminars, and presentations. You’ll find regular updates on the event registration website. As always, you’ll meet the RoadRUNNER team, and get the inside scoop on what we’ve been working on and the exciting plans we have for the future. We can’t wait to see you there!
Food is the heart of any celebration. At our party, you’ll be in for a feast you won’t forget! The buffet will be loaded with local flavors, from hearty slow-cooked barbecue with all the sides to tender baby back ribs. Savor pan-roasted seafood in a zesty lemon-dill sauce, or dig into a mouthwatering grilled flank steak. Pair it all with crisp vegetables and an irresistible variety of desserts. And that’s just a sampler of what’s on the menu!
Registration deadline is September 9.
