Moto Guzzi’s New Factory and Museum Facility Opens Its Doors

Moto Guzzi’s second century carries a distinctly American imprint. Under the direction of U.S. architect Greg Lynn, the historical factory complex in Mandello del Lario in northern Italy has been fundamentally renovated.

At the Giornate Mondiali Guzzi in early September 2026, Moto Guzzi unveiled a new, public-facing home for the brand. Set between Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, Moto Guzzis have been built in these buildings since 1921.

Mandello stands in sharp contrast to the hectic highways you’ll have to take to get there. In town, thousands of motorcycles stand side by side with surprising discipline.

There are no burnouts or booming sound systems; instead, the mood is relaxed, almost familial. Every bar and restaurant proudly identifies with the local Moto Guzzi brand, while visitors wait patiently outside the factory gates for their chance to enter.
