Mosko Moto's Bates Mototel Opens for the Season with BDR Parking

The prime summer riding season is here, which means the Bates Mototel is now open to motorcyclists. If you’re heading out to Washington state this summer, this campground makes for a great home base for exploring the northwest.

The Bates Mototel, operated by motorcycle luggage manufacturer Mosko Moto, is a 14-site tent campground. Located just five miles outside Mosko Moto’s headquarters in White Salmon, WA, it’s easy to get in and out of with your bike.

And why should you head over to White Salmon? We have four words for you—the Columbia River Gorge. This region teems with excellent, curvy roads that beg you to put your wheels on them.

At the Bates Mototel campsite, you’ll find a camp kitchen with water and cookware, toilets, shower facilities, and a “living room” in a separate canvas tent. Oh, and camping at the site is free.

In addition, this year Mosko Moto also offers truck and trailer parking for crews heading out to tackle Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) trails. Both the Washington and Oregon BDRs are within easy access of White Salmon, so this is a great opportunity to score easy parking.

The BDR truck parking is located in Underwood, WA, some 20 minutes from the Bates Mototel campground. There are 14 parking spaces available that can accommodate vehicles and trailers up to 50 feet in length.Spaces for the campground and truck parking are guaranteed to fill fast.
