Kawasaki Ninja 7: The World’s First Hybrid Motorcycle

Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) are old news, with hybrid cars having been around for ages. In the two-wheeled department, though, we’ve had to settle on hybrid scooters. Kawasaki is now changing that.

The Japanese moto maker has officially launched the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 7. It is the world’s first strong hybrid production motorcycle.

The bike has been in the works for a while—Kawi originally said it was working on a hybrid motorcycle at the EICMA 2022 show, where it also announced the (now available) Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 electric bikes. But why put out a hybrid to compete with newly-released electrics?
