Kawasaki Elektrode Experience Brings Riding to Your Children
Are your kids always saying they’d like to ride a motorcycle like their mom or dad? Then the Kawasaki Elektrode Experience is your chance to acquaint your child with a kid-sized and kid-friendly bike.
Kawasaki Elektrode Experience is a nationwide tour that aims to introduce young, fledgling riders to Kawasaki Elektrode. The Japanese bike maker’s first electronic balance bike is a fantastic machine for young children to begin their motorcycling journey.
The demo event tour accompanies the Monster Energy Supercross FanFest. The first event took place on January 21 at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, CA.
If you missed that event, though, don’t fret. There are six more Elektride Experience events upcoming. Those include:
- February 25—Arlington, TX—AT&T Stadium
- March 4—Daytona Beach, FL—Daytona International Speedway
- April 8—Glendale, AZ—State Farm Stadium
- April 15—Atlanta, GA—Atlanta Motor Speedway
- April 22—East Rutherford, NJ—MetLife Stadium
- May 13—Salt Lake City, UT—Rice-Eccles Stadium
“After several successful product demo experiences over the last few years at Monster Energy Supercross FanFests, we decided to turn our focus to our first electric bike. The Elektrode Experience gives some of the youngest supercross fans an opportunity to experience the fun-packed Elektrode electric balance bike first-hand in a safe, controlled, and fun environment,” Bob O’Brien, Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. Director of Marketing, said in a statement.
At each event, demo rides for the Elektrode will be held on a first-come-first-served basis from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The young riders must be aged 3 to 8, weigh 100 pounds or less, wear closed-toe shoes, and be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Participation requires a valid event ticket—prices vary. No pre-registration is available for the Elektrode demo rides.
Kawasaki Elektrode is the company’s first electric bike. The motocross-styled balance bike is aimed at children aged 3 to 8.
Powered by a 250-watt brushless electric motor and three speed modes, the bike features a lightweight aluminum frame, a motocross-style handlebar, an adjustable bar and seat, and a premium disc brake. The Elektrode retails for an MSRP of $1,099.
