Indian Motorcycle Riders Raise $114,000 for Folds of Honor

Motorcyclists like to do good. A recent charity ride organized by Indian Motorcycle provides further proof of that.

Indian organized the charity ride in support of Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization offering educational scholarships to families of fallen or disabled service members and first responders. The ride spanned the U.S., with several chapters of the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) ownership association participating.

Hundreds of motorcyclists took to the road, with the aim to raise $50,000 in donations from participants, sponsors, and local communities. In the end, however, the fundraising crushed its goal, bringing in more than $114,000.

With $5,000 providing one full scholarship, that’s 22 scholarships in total.

“We’re incredibly thankful for our amazing community of owners. This event has truly demonstrated the strength of our collective spirit and the significant impact we can make when we unite for a great cause,” said Indian Motorcycle vice president, Aaron Jax, in a statement.

“We are so grateful to Indian Motorcycle, its outstanding team, and the owners that participated in the charity ride benefiting our recipients. The IMRGs throughout the country have stepped up to change lives through education. It’s a benevolent group that wants to make a difference, and they have,” said Folds of Honor CEO and founder, Lt. Col. Dan Rooney.

Folds of Honor, founded in 2007, is a non-profit organization offering education scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disables U.S. military service members and first responders. The organization provides scholarships for private school tuition for K-12, college, trade school, and post-graduate studies. Folds of Honor has awarded more than 52,000 scholarships, totaling $244 million.
