CFMoto Introduces New 2027 Ibex 950
CFMoto has revealed the new 2027 Ibex 950 ADV motorcycle. To knowledgeable adventure riders, the chassis and specs of the Chinese brand’s latest offering may look strangely familiar.
That would be because most body components and the engine come from existing bikes. CFMoto has lifted the majority of the chassis directly from the Ibex 800.
Meanwhile, the powerplant is KTM’s 990 LC8c parallel-twin engine, which we’re already familiar with from the 990 Duke. It’s also slated to go into the revived KTM 990 Adventure, but CFMoto managed to put the motor in an adventure bike before its creator.

This liquid-cooled DOHC engine sports a displacement of 946cc. Considering that, the new motorcycle’s North American Ibex 950 designation seems more accurate than the 1000MT-X moniker used elsewhere.
CFMoto has, however, downtuned the engine from that seen on KTM bikes. In this iteration, it produces 112 ponies at 8,500 rpm (compared to the 990 Duke’s 121 hp) and 77.5 lb-ft of torque at 6,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter.
As with the Ibex 800, the chassis consists of a tubular steel frame and an aluminum swingarm. The chassis supports a 5.9-gallon fuel tank, which brings the curb weight to 489 pounds when filled.

The 48mm inverted fork and rear shock are both from KYB. They offer 9.1 inches of travel at both ends, alongside preload, rebound, and compression adjustment.
Brembo has supplied the brake components. Deal 320mm floating discs with radially mounted four-piston calipers in the front and a single 260mm disc with a single-piston caliper in the rear work to stop the Ibex 950.

In electronics, the motorcycle has a vertical eight-inch TFT touchscreen display. Through the screen, you can control the four adjustable wide modes (Standard, Rain, Off-road, All-terrain), three-level traction control, and cruise control.
For protecting you from the elements and debris, the Ibex 950 features an adjustable windscreen and standard handguards. Heated grips and seat (at 34.3 inches) are also default equipment.

The 2027 CFMoto Ibex 950 is available in Tactical Green and Nebula Black. At an MSRP of $12,499, the motorcycle is a reasonably priced player in the mid-range ADV bike scene.
