Can-Am Motorcycles Return This Fall with Two Electric Models
In the ‘70s and ‘80s, Can-Am motorcycles ruled the motocross world, but the brand went under in 1987. This year, however, Can-Am will be back with two electric motorcycles.
The 2025 Can-Am Origin and Can-Am Pulse were originally announced at the end of 2022. The company has now clarified the planned release date and the motorcycles are expected to hit the market still during 2024.
With the two machines, Can-Am is offering something for both street and trail riders. The appropriately titled Can-Am Origin is an adventurous motorcycle (it’s not clear at the time of writing if it’s a dual sport or ADV bike) capable of tackling both gravel and pavement, hearkening back to the brand’s motocross roots. The Can-Am Pulse, meanwhile, is a mean street machine.
Both motorcycles feature a distinctive design language. Can-Am has opted for blocky, angular shapes with the electric motors forming the bulk of the bikes.
Yet, the company is still keeping all performance specs still tightly behind lock and key. We expect more details to be released closer to the availability date (which is also still TBA).
However, you can get a sneak peek into the new Can-Am motorcycles’ design process in a YouTube video series. While you wait for further information, you can watch the videos on the Can-Am website.
