Benelli Shows Off New Models at EICMA 2024

The EICMA 2024 motorcycle show took place on November 10, which means moto manufacturers were there to showcase their latest bikes. The classic Italian marque Benelli was among them, revealing three upcoming motorcycles.

The piece de resistance was the all-new 2025 TRK 902 Xplorer. This concept ADV bike certainly cut a dashing, aggressive figure in its dark green Jungle Fog colorway with bright lime green highlights.

Although this platform is undeniably new for Benelli, it’s not a complete scratch build. Instead, it’s a logical step forward from the company’s 800 platform. That’s not negative in any way—it’s just always good to know a motorcycle’s heritage.

The TRK 902 Xplorer is powered by a 904cc engine, which Benelli claims produces 100 ponies and 66 lb-ft of torque. Speaking to the bike’s adventurous character, it boasts integrated fog lights, an electronically adjustable, and a decent 7.8 inches of suspension travel at both ends. The 5.8-gallon fuel tank isn’t the largest we’ve ever seen, but should allow riders to chew through trails before needing a top-up.

That’s about all Benelli revealed for now. We’ll just have to wait and see what the future brings.

Tornado 550

Although the TRK 902 Xplorer was in the limelight, it wasn’t by any means the only new bike Benelli teased. The Italians also revealed the 2025 Tornado 550 sportbike concept, which is an upgraded version of the Tornado 500 showed off at last year’s show.

Poised to compete with the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 500 and Honda CBR500R, the Benelli has a slight edge in displacement, as it’s propelled forward by a 554cc parallel-twin. The powerplant should produce 61 horsepower and 40 lb-ft of torque, which certainly beats the Japanese bikes.

The bike comes with track-ready components, ranging from the Marzocchi fork and mono-shock to Brembo brakes. For connectivity, the bike boasts a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-capable display.

To distinguish the Tornado 550 from other sportbikes, it has distinctive daytime running lights integrated into the fairing on both sides of the headlight. The design is intended to invoke the canines of Benelli’s symbolic lion.

Hopefully the roar of the engine also matches that of the king of the savannah.

BKX300/300S

Last but not least, Benelli pulled the curtain on the BKX300 and BKX300S. These motorcycles are specifically designed to appeal to riders who are new to the ADV and dual sport categories.

These lightweight bikes are intended to be nimble and easily controllable machines, with the BKX300 meant to tackle off-road trails and the BXK300S heading out on pavement. Both motorcycles draw their go-go power from a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine.

For tuning the bikes for the ride, their front forks feature preload, rebound, and compression damping adjustability, while the rear shocks can be adjusted for preload and rebound.

The BKX300 comes with an identical 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel configuration to Benelli’s larger ADV motorcycles. Meanwhile, the street-oriented BKX300S has 17-inch wheels front and back, clad in radial tires.
