Athena Ride for Women
All women riders can hear Ohio calling this summer. The first-ever Athena Ride for Women invites all bike-loving ladies to hop in the saddle for a good cause.
The Athena Ride is a women-only motorcycle rally taking place in Athens, OH, on August 10-13. Over the four days, riders get to participate in a wide variety of activities from cookouts and shopping to workshops and yoga. On the final day, motorcycle author and coach Alisa Clickenger will give a keynote speech. Naturally, the event schedule also includes many wonderful rides around Ohio’s Windy 9.
Athena Ride for Women aims to create a community of women riders and give them a chance to relax and connect with like-minded people. In addition, the rally seeks to raise funds and awareness for My Sister’s Place, a non-profit agency supporting victims of domestic violence in southeast Ohio. They provide a 24/7 hotline, outreach counseling, an emergency shelter, and other services.
Registration for Athena Ride for Women is now open. Interested riders should fill out the registration form found on the event’s website and pay the $120 registration fee. Door prizes have been generously donated by Klim, Schuberth, and Racer Gloves USA.
RoadRUNNER is a proud sponsor of Athena Ride for Women.
