2025 Indian Scout Lineup

2025 Indian Scout Lineup

The Indian Scout enjoys a legendary reputation, with the late-1920s 101 Scout version often touted as the best motorcycle the company ever built. For 2025, America’s first motorcycle company is introducing a revamped Scout lineup. The new Scout catalog consists of five models—Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Super Scout, and 101 Scout.

The most significant change to the bikes is the engine, which has received a complete redesign. Propelling the new Scouts down the road is the SpeedPlus 1250, a 1250cc liquid-cooled V-twin. The engine produces a claimed 111 ponies (up from 100) and upward of 82 lb-ft of torque (compared to the previous 72). Indian promises sharp acceleration and a smooth throttle response, thanks to electronic fuel injection, while the six-speed transmission should offer responsive operation.

While reimagining the Scout, Indian says the company focused on three key areas—the unique classic Scout look, rider opinions, and technology. The latter is a curious claim, considering three of the bikes offer virtually zero tech as standard.

The Bikes

But let’s take a closer look at the models themselves. The Scout Classic upholds the bike’s heritage with its flared fenders, wire-spoked wheels, and chrome components. It’s a classic cruiser, alright. With the low seat and relaxed riding position, you can chew through miles.

Next, the Scout Bobber looks much like the Classic, but it has been stripped down to be a… Well, bobber. The fenders are shorter, the suspension is lower, the mirrors are bar-end models, and the headlight nacelle has a more aggressive look.

The Sport Scout turns the Scout into a more track-oriented machine, with a sport seat offering more back support for long rides. Gloss-black risers and a different handlebar adjust the piloting position, allowing for more aggressive riding. Aiding handling is also a 19-inch front wheel.

The Super Scout takes the Scout Classic and upgrades it for the open road with saddlebags, a quick-release windshield, and a passenger seat. The suspension has a bit more travel for improved comfort over long distances.

Finally, we have the 101 Scout, bearing the famed ‘20s machine’s name. With a more modern appearance, the 101 Scout boasts adjustable suspension, dual-disc Brembo brakes, a similar handlebar to the Sport Scout, and unique 101 graphics.

The Trims

Indian is offering most of the new Scouts in three different trim levels. The Standard trim (available for the Scout Classic, Bobber, and Sport) comes with ABS, LED lighting, and analog instrumentation with digital fuel level and consumption readouts. The Limited trim upgrades these three bikes with traction and cruise control, a USB outlet, and three ride modes (Standard, Sport, and Tour).

The top-shelf offering is the +Tech trim, which is the standard (and only) option for the Super and 101 Scout. On top of the Standard and Limited features, it adds a round four-inch touch screen that offers turn-by-turn navigation, configurable gauges, and ride statistics. It can also connect to your mobile phone with the Ride Connect app. In addition, the +Tech trim includes keyless ignition. Indian also offers multiple accessory and customization packages for the bikes.

The 2025 Indian Scout lineup is available in dealerships now. The MSRPs in the range are $13,999 for the Scout Classic, $12,999 for the Scout Bobber, $13,499 for the Sport Scout, $16,499 for the Super Scout, and $16,999 for the 101 Scout.
