2022 Indian Pursuit
The newest model in Indian’s lineup is one engineered for touring riders who value the journey as much as the destination. The 2022 Indian Pursuit claims to be the most capable and refined American touring machine on the road, featuring the liquid-cooled PowerPlus engine, seamless ride-enhancing technology, a chassis-mounted fairing, and many other touring amenities. We’ll test this claim in our upcoming review.
There are two trim models available—the Pursuit Dark Horse and the Pursuit Limited. The Dark Horse showcases blacked-out accents while the Limited has a flashier polished chrome style. Each model has been designed for optimal comfort for long, epic journeys. Some of the features included are an adjustable windscreen, vented lower fairings, heated grips, a touring comfort seat, and ample storage space. Between the saddlebags and top case, the Pursuit contains over 35 gallons of power-locking storage, so you won’t have to leave your kitchen sink behind on your next ride.
The Pursuit also comes with a seven-inch touchscreen display. With Ride Command+, the touchscreen display offers Apple CarPlay, GPS with turn-by-turn navigation, and a free year of Ride Command+ features, including live traffic and weather overlays, and an all-new vehicle locator feature, which allows riders to track the exact location their bike was last powered on.
At the heart of the Indian Pursuit is the PowerPlus engine, a 108cc, liquid-cooled V-twin that delivers 122 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. Each 2022 Pursuit model features PowerPlus calibration, which improves low-speed ridability.
Riders looking to take their journey to the next level can do so with the Premium Package. This package features an all-new electronically adjustable rear suspension preload from Fox, which allows riders to adjust their preload for optimal comfort and handling under varying conditions. The Premium Package also adds Smart Lean Technology, a heated seat, and integrated driving lights in the lower fairings.
As with most large touring machines, a variety of performance-enhancing accessories are available as well. The PowerPlus Air Cleaner gives the bike a deeper intake sound, and the PowerPlus Stage 2 performance cams claim to deliver 10% more horsepower and 3% more torque. Handlebars, additional luggage, replacement fairings, audio enhancements, and other accessories are also available.
The Indian Pursuit has all of the comfort and features of a traditional touring bike, but with more power and attitude. Pricing starts at $29,999 for the base model, and will be available for purchase at your local Indian dealership in early to mid-2022.
