Terms and conditions for RoadRUNNER's 2025 motorcycle sweepstakes.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED, ENDORSED OR ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC (“BMW NA”), OR WITH ANY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, META, INSTAGRAM, OR X. BY ENTERING THIS SWEEPSTAKES, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH ARE A CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND ROADRUNNER, SO READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. VOID IN PUERTO RICO AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. Eligibility: The RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel 25th Anniversary Sweepstakes (this “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of any of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees of European Creative Communication, Inc. d/b/a RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel (“RoadRUNNER”), and of its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively “Employees”), and the immediate family members of, and/or those living in the same household as, Employees are not eligible to enter or win this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
2. Agreement with Official Rules: By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant (“You” or “Entrant”) agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet all eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of RoadRUNNER and the Administrator as final and binding in connection with this Sweepstakes.
3. Sweepstakes Period: This Sweepstakes begins January 1, 2025 at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends July 31, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM ET (the “Sweepstakes Period”). RoadRUNNER’s computer is the official time-keeping device for this Sweepstakes.
4. How to Enter: THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. During the Sweepstakes Period, Entrants may enter this Sweepstakes using only the following methods: (1) Enter online without making a purchase using the form provided at https://contests.roadrunner.travel/2025-motorcycle-sweepstakes/ (the “Website”) by completing all required information, (2) gain one (1) entry when You subscribe to RoadRUNNER’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/roadrunnermagazine, (3) gain one (1) entry each time You post a valid public comment on RoadRUNNER’s Facebook profile at www.facebook.com/roadrunnermag or Instagram profile at www.instagram.com/roadrunnermag, each of which post MUST begin with the hashtag “#sweepstakes” in order for any such comment to entitle You to an entry, (4) gain one (1) entry when you purchase a print subscription to RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel Magazine, or an online subscription to RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel Magazine, or (5) gain one (1) entry for each online purchase of merchandise through the Website. There is no limit on the number of entries any individual entrant can obtain in this Sweepstakes, regardless of the method of entry. For each method of entry described above, You must provide the information requested, which will include name, e-mail address, phone number, age and state of residence. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent these Official Rules. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent these Official Rules, Your entry may be removed from eligibility at RoadRUNNER’s sole discretion.
5. Prize: There will be one (1) grand prize awarded under this Sweepstakes to one (1) winner. The prize is a 2025 BMW R 1300 GSA (the “Grand Prize”), having an approximate retail value of $26,020, plus $695 destination charge, for a total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $26,715. All specifics of the Grand Prize, including, without limitation, colors, options, features, and accessories, shall be solely determined by RoadRUNNER. No cash equivalent or other substitution for the Grand Prize shall be permitted except at RoadRUNNER’s sole discretion. The Grand Prize is non-transferable. Any and all Grand Prize-related expenses, costs, or fees, including, without limitation, any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the Winner’s sole responsibility. No substitution of Grand Prize or transfer/assignment of Grand Prize to others by Winner is permitted.
6. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.
7. Winner Selection and Notification: On or about August 1, 2025, the potential Winner will be selected by Administrator in a random drawing from all eligible entries under RoadRUNNER’s supervision. RoadRUNNER’s and Administrator’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. The potential Winner will be notified by phone and/or email within five (5) business days following selection. As a condition to receive the Grand Prize, the potential Winner is required to complete, sign and return, within seven (7) days of the date such potential Winner is notified, (i) an affidavit of eligibility and release, and (ii) an IRS Form W-9 (which must include the Winner’s Social Security Number, which will only be used for the purpose of reporting the Winner’s earnings from winning the Grand Prize, based on the ARV of the Grand Prize as described above, to the Internal Revenue Service, as required by law). RoadRUNNER shall have no liability for the potential Winner’s failure to receive notification of winning this Sweepstakes due to potential Winner’s e-mail service’s spam, junk e-mail or other security settings, or for potential Winner’s having provided incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information in potential Winner’s entry. If potential Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to timely return a completed and executed affidavit of eligibility and release and Form W-9 as described above, or after RoadRUNNER or Administrator confirms potential Winner as the Winner by written notification, the Winner fails to claim the Grand Prize within ten (10) business days, the Grand Prize may be forfeited by such Winner and an alternate Winner may be selected at random from all remaining eligible entries as described above. Up to three (3) additional such random drawings will be conducted, after which the Grand Prize will not be awarded should all four (4) random drawings fail to result in a Winner in accordance with these Official Rules. Receipt by Winner of the Grand Prize is conditioned upon Winner’s compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER WILL, AT ROADRUNNER‘S SOLE DISCRETION, RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AND THE GRAND PRIZE WILL BE FORFEITED. Delivery of the Grand Prize to the Winner will be determined by RoadRUNNER and the Winner. Winner hereby expressly consents to having photos and video created containing Winner’s image and likeness during and in connection with Grand Prize delivery.
POTENTIAL WINNER IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY ROADRUNNER AND/OR THE ADMINISTRATOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A POTENTIAL WINNER IS NOT A WINNER OF THE GRAND PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL SUCH POTENTIAL WINNER’S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND THE POTENTIAL WINNER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED BY THE SPONSOR OR THE ADMINISTRATOR THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE AND THE POTENTIAL WINNER IS THE VERIFIED WINNER. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE COMPLIED WITH ALL OF THE CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN AND CLAIM THE PRIZE, WINNER MUST BE A RESIDENT OR CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND CANNOT AT THE TIME OF THE AWARDING OF THE PRIZE (A) BE LISTED AS A SANCTIONED EXPORTER, (B) BE LISTED ON THE SPECIALLY DESIGNATED NATIONALS LIST MAINTAINED BY THE U.S. TREASURY DEPARTMENT’S OFFICE OF FOREIGN ASSETS CONTROL (“OFAC”), OR (C) BE SUBJECT TO OFAC SANCTIONS OR OTHERWISE BE KNOWN TO SUPPORT TERRORISM OR TO HAVE VIOLATED ANY OFAC SANCTIONS. IN THE EVENT WINNER IS DETERMINED TO NOT BE ELIGIBLE DUE TO ONE OF THE FOREGOING PROHIBITIONS, AN ALTERNATIVE WINNER WILL BE SELECTED FROM ALL REMAINING ELIGIBLE ENTRIES.
8. Publicity: Except in Tennessee and where prohibited by law, by entering and participating in this Sweepstakes, You expressly understand, agree and consent that RoadRUNNER, Administrator, anyone acting on behalf of RoadRUNNER, and RoadRUNNER’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the world, Your entry, name, portrait, photograph, voice, likeness, image, statements about this Sweepstakes, opinions, hometown and state, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, in any media (including, without limitation, in print, on the Internet, in social media, and in other digital formats) without any further compensation, consideration, notice, review, or consent.
9. Terms & Conditions: RoadRUNNER reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who is found to (i) be tampering or have tampered with the entry process or the operation of this Sweepstakes, (ii) be acting or have acted in violation of these Official Rules, or (iii) be acting or have acted in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. RoadRUNNER reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Subject to any governmental approval which may be required, RoadRUNNER reserves the right, without prior notice and at any time, to suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that this Sweepstakes is technically impaired or corrupted or that fraud, printing errors, or technical problems, failures or malfunctions, or any causes beyond RoadRUNNER’s control, have destroyed or severely undermined the integrity and/or feasibility of this Sweepstakes. By entering, You agree that none of RoadRUNNER, the Administrator, BMW NA, Meta, Instagram, or X, nor any of their respective affiliates, are responsible, or shall have any liability, for: (a) late, delayed, misdirected, garbled, or incomplete entries, prize claims or notifications, or entries that do not otherwise comply with, or that otherwise violate, these Official Rules; (b) any printing, typographical, mechanical or other error in the printing, advertising or administration of this Sweepstakes or in the announcement of a Winner; (c) any human error, technical malfunctions, or lost/delayed data transmission, or any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, or software; or (d) any other error or malfunction, or any other causes beyond RoadRUNNER’s or the Administrator’s reasonable control that jeopardizes the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes. In no event will more than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules be awarded.
10. Release and Limitation of Liability: By participating in this Sweepstakes, You expressly agree to release and hold harmless RoadRUNNER and the Administrator, and each of their respective affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), as well as BMW NA, from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) Your participation in this Sweepstakes and/or Your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the Grand Prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of this Sweepstakes or the processing of entries. Further, by participating in this Sweepstakes, You expressly agree that neither the Sweepstakes Entities nor BMW NA have made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, whether express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to the Grand Prize, including, without limitation, to such Grand Prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose. By winning the Grand Prize, Winner expressly agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities and BMW NA from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property, including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising, in whole or in part, out of such Winner’s participation in this Sweepstakes or such Winner’s receipt, use or misuse of the Grand Prize.
11. Governing Law; Disputes: This Sweepstakes shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the United States and of the State of North Carolina, without giving any effect to any choice of law or conflict of law doctrines, whether of the State of North Carolina or any other jurisdiction. Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, You agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and claims or causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively by the appropriate state or federal courts located in Winston-Salem or Greensboro, North Carolina having jurisdiction, and You hereby submit to the jurisdiction of such courts. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall You be permitted to obtain awards for, and You hereby waive all rights to, indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, other than Your actual out-of-pocket expenses associated with Your entering this Sweepstakes. You further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
12. Privacy Policy: All personal information submitted with Your entry(ies) into this Sweepstakes is subject to RoadRUNNER’s Privacy Policy set forth on the Website at www.roadrunner.travel/privacy-policy.
By opting in to be contacted by participating partners, you authorize BMW of North America, LLC, their affiliates, and service providers to contact you with offers or information about products and services. This may include automatic dialing or artificial or prerecorded messages. Carrier fees may apply. Your consent is not required as a condition of purchase. Your consent can be revoked at any time. You confirm that you are the owner or primary user of the mobile phone number you entered with. BMW’s Privacy Policy is set forth on at https://my.bmwmotorcycles.com/privacypolicy.
You instruct BMW of North America, LLC to provide your information to an authorized BMW dealer to contact you with product and services information in accordance with the dealer’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. This may include automatic dialing or artificial or prerecorded messages. Carrier fees may apply. Your consent is not required as a condition of purchase. Your consent can be revoked at any time. You confirm that you are the owner or primary user of the mobile phone number you entered with.
13. Winners List: To obtain a copy of the Winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, mail your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel 2245-D Lewisville Clemmons Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012. Requests must be received no later than December 31, 2025.
14. Sponsor and Administrator: The sponsor of this Sweepstakes is European Creative Communication, Inc. d/b/a RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel, 2245-D Lewisville Clemmons Rd., Clemmons, North Carolina 27012. The administrator of this Sweepstakes is Pancake Laboratories, Inc. d/b/a ShortStack, 201 W. Liberty St., Reno, Nevada 89501 (“Administrator”).
